One born from a dragon,
hoisting the darkness and light...
While
en route to Baron from Fabul, the master of the
seas, Leviathan, attacks the Fabul naval ship.
Cecil stood helpless as his friends,
Gilbart, Yang and, Rydia all were lost to the
sea. As for Cecil himself, after drifting from
the wreckage he washed up on the shores of
Mysidia, the very country he had pillaged in the
beginning of the game. Yet it was the
intervention of destiny. With nowhere else to
turn, Cecil goes to the Mysidian capitol.
Unsurprisingly most of the Mysidians held hatred
in their hearts for the former Red Wings
Commander. However, the nation's elder citizen
beheld a glimmer of light in Cecil's heart. The
elder suggested that Cecil endure the trial of
Mount Ordeals, to renounce his past and the evil
sword of darkness to accept the power of the
holy light to become a paladin. To become a
paladin Cecil must fully part from his dark
past, and overcome that part of himself...to
withstand its darkness, and deny it's existence.
Once doing so he will be wrapped in the glorious
light and truly become a paladin...a holy
knight. After the event on Mt. Ordeals Cecil
remains a paladin for the rest of the game, he
will gain the limited use of white magic and
will be able to protect allies who are near
exhaustion.
